# Language of Fear Publication Slate

## Authoritative Decision Record

**Decided by:** Larry Todd Wilson
**Recorded:** August 14, 2026; implementation rulings amended August 15, 2026
**Status:** All authorial and publication-policy decisions surfaced by the August 14 slate review are resolved.
**Authority:** This record supersedes conflicting proposals, unchecked boxes, and unresolved-decision language in earlier August 14 slate materials.

## Governing identity

1. **Canonical manuscript:** Ratify the second manuscript, RevB, as the canonical text for publication preparation.
2. **Title:** *How to Receive and Give Warnings Without Surrendering Judgment*.
3. **Relationship:** The existing book is primarily concerned with declarative knowledge. The new book delivers procedural knowledge. They are separate, complementary books; the new book does not replace the existing book.
4. **Framework:** The declarative/procedural distinction may be used to explain the relationship between the books.
5. **Existing-book identity:** The existing book does not need to be publicly relabeled, retitled, or marked as “the Declarative Knowledge book.”
6. **New-book description:** The new book’s title and cover need not say “Procedural Knowledge.” Its description may state that it delivers procedural knowledge.
7. **Author:** Guptajyotiḥ.
8. **Authorial-name statement:** “Guptajyotiḥ is the authorial name Larry Todd Wilson uses for the Language of Fear books.”
9. **Prerequisite:** The new book stands alone. The existing book is not required reading.

## Product and purchase terms

10. **Format at launch:** PDF only. Print and audio are later possibilities, not launch commitments.
11. **Price:** $24.
12. **Separate purchase:** The new book requires a separate purchase. Existing purchasers do not receive it automatically.
13. **Bundle:** No bundle at launch. Each book is a separate $24 purchase.
14. **Updates:** Purchase includes free corrections and minor revisions to that edition. New editions remain separate purchases.
15. **Refunds:** No refunds are available. State this unchanged on the product, checkout, and delivery pages.
16. **Usage rights:** No Creative Commons license. One purchase licenses the PDF to one purchaser for personal use on their own devices. The purchaser may not share, upload, reproduce, redistribute, resell, or publicly distribute the book or adaptations without written permission. Quotation and other uses permitted by applicable law remain unaffected. Reproduce this term unchanged on the product, checkout, and delivery pages.

## Public presentation and release

17. **Website placement:** Give each book a separate page and feature both independently on the main site.
18. **Warning Exchange:** Keep the Warning Exchange free and public as a practical gateway to the paid new book. Its public page must continue to identify TLOF-WE-0.2 visibly.
19. **Earlier companion promise:** The new book fulfills and supersedes the previously mentioned companion-book promise.
20. **Field Notes:** Make no change to the August 13 Field Note. Create a separate new Field Note explaining the two offerings.
21. **Soft launch:** Use the existing payment, PDF-delivery, recovery, and support system for a separate $24 product. Both book pages and their independent main-site links must be live, mobile-checked, and link-verified before the 48-hour test begins. Do not announce until that test passes.
22. **Announcement audience:** Make one public announcement. Do not send a separate notice to existing purchasers.

## Evidence and future work

23. **Public evidence:** Publish the complete research report, 36-row worksheet, and verification record rather than only a short public summary. Before publication, reconcile their statuses and public routes with this decision record.
24. **Outside-review disclosure:** State plainly that three independent ChatGPT Project seats performed the outside readings and describe their separate assignments.
25. **Review verdicts:** Preserve the three original “READY WITH NAMED CONDITIONS” verdicts verbatim. Publish a condition-resolution record showing how each named condition was addressed; do not rewrite the reviewers’ words as “READY.”
26. **Conditional Knowledge:** Keep a possible Conditional Knowledge book as an internal possibility. Make no public promise.

## Implementation requirements added August 15

- Close every flagged source and citation check before release; do not release with known checks merely disclosed as open.
- Preserve the historical research report intact, precede it with a dated current-status note, and record necessary corrections separately.
- Audit the existing book’s sales copy so every evidence claim matches current, publicly accessible support.
- After the 48-hour test passes, check the announcement line by line against the live title, author, price, purchaser-use terms, availability, evidence links, and free Warning Exchange.
- `IMPLEMENTATION_VERIFICATION_RULINGS_2026-08-15.md` is the controlling detail for these eight implementation matters.

## Required announcement correction

Earlier W2 announcement language said that current buyers would receive the new manuscript without a second purchase. That statement is superseded and must not be published.

The announcement must instead make these points accurately:

- *How to Receive and Give Warnings Without Surrendering Judgment* is a new, standalone book.
- It delivers procedural knowledge through practices for receiving and giving warnings while retaining judgment.
- It is a separate $24 PDF purchase.
- The Warning Exchange remains free and public.
- The book was reviewed through three independent ChatGPT Project seats, with the full supporting record available publicly.

## Release gate

The authorial decisions are complete. Public release now depends on implementation and verification, not further authorial rulings:

1. prepare the final PDF from canonical RevB under the ratified title and author identity;
2. reconcile and publish the research report, worksheet, verification package, verbatim outside readings, and condition-resolution record;
3. build separate product and checkout paths using the terms above;
4. verify payment, delivery, recovery, no-refund and purchaser-use language, links, mobile presentation, and the public TLOF-WE-0.2 label;
5. leave the release unannounced for a successful 48-hour soft-launch test;
6. create the new Field Note explaining the two offerings and publish the corrected public announcement.

No unresolved authorial decision remains in the August 14 publication slate.
